Fanner & Associates have helped our clients develop and implement NRW reduction programmes in the following major projects:

 

Kingston & St. Andrew Co-Management NRW Reduction Contract (Jamaica)

This $42.5m IDB funded 5 year performance based co-management project includes comprehensive training of the co-management team, the implementation of advanced pressure management, DMAs, leak detection and repair, selective service line replacement, selective customer meter right sizing and replacement, assistance with meter selection, restructuring and improving the GIS, a cadastral survey  and development of a calibrated all mains hydraulic network model.

 

New Providence NRW Reduction Project (The Bahamas)

This $83m IDB funded 10 year performance based project includes the implementation of advanced pressure management, DMAs, leak detection and repair, selective service line replacement, selective customer meter right sizing and replacement, SCADA and an integrated network management system. 

 

Professional Engineering Services for Non-Revenue Water Assessment and Leak Detection Study, (City of Toronto, Canada)

Consultancy services to develop the optimal NRW reduction strategy for the City of Toronto including field evaluation of leak detection equipment, implementation of pilot pressure management, district metering, leak detection and repair.

 

Performance-based NRW Management Advisory Services for Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Manila, Philippines)

A comprehensive $15m NRW Management program which helped Maynilad reduce NRW sufficiently to provide new 24/7 services to an additional 2.5 million people.

 

New Providence Blue Hills RO Project (The Bahamas)

As a part of their contract to implement the Blue Hills RO plant, Consolidated Water was required to reduce NRW by 1 million gallons a day. Fanner & Associates helped them meet this target.

 

Water Sector Master Plan for Trinidad and Tobago

Fanner & Associates helped develop the Water Loss Assessment, Water Efficiency Study and Least Cost NRW Reduction Strategy of the Water Sector Master Plan. These components included a detailed water balance including random sample metering of unmeasured residential customers, water efficiency surveys, economic analysis of options and development of the NRW reduction strategy with costs.

 

Water Loss Study (City of Saskatoon Canada)

This project included a detailed water audit, economic analysis of NRW reduction options and recommended NRW reduction strategy.
